Monday, April 22, 2013  As the June 15th closure date for the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport’s air-traffic control tower nears, officials continued to explore their options of how to operate the tower during the Albany-Dougherty Aviation Commission meeting Monday evening.

Monday, March 18, 2013  The Federal Aviation Administration has announced in a letter to airports, that due to a large number of responses in response to it's oppurtunity to explain why the elimination of funding for the tower operations at their airports would adversely affect the national interest.
