Middle school students complete ASU’s interactive computer programming summer camp

The campers learned about computer programming and robotics

ALBANY, GA -- Middle school students from Southwest Georgia participated in the Second Interactive Computer Programming Summer Camp held by Albany State University.

Organized by the Science Technology Engineering Program (STEP), the camp was held at Albany State University July 18-22. At the camp’s conclusion, participants demonstrated the applications they learned, including programming video games and working with robots. Participants included Adam Bedingfield, Andrew Bloing, Zachary Bargfred, Evan Gambill, Allec Williams and Alisa Ivanina.

The annual camp was organized by Leslie Charles, director  of Upward Bound; Dr. Atin Sinha, ASU professor and coordinator of engineering; and Dr. Wanjun Hu, ASU associate professor of math and computer science.
