MOULTRIE, GA --
One of the victims of the drive-by-shooting on March 3rd in Moultrie was pronounced dead Wednesday night. This was the second shooting that has happened in Moultrie in March alone.

Eric Debruce is said to have died due to complications from the gunshot wounds. Debruce was allegedly shot once in the leg and twice in the back, with one bullet piercing his lungs.

James Key, Debruce’s uncle, was also a victim of the shooting and died at the scene that night.

Lola Lee, Debruce’s mother and Key’s sister, spoke out to FOX 31 Fridat about what happened to her loved ones.

Lee says Debruce leaves behind five children, the youngest is five and the oldest is 23, and she doesn’t even know how to begin to explain what happened to the younger ones.

Lee feels as if the violence is increasing in Moultrie, and after losing two of her family members, she’s starting to feel unsafe living there.

Moultrie Police Department Chief Frank Lang says he is positive that the recent shootings in Moultrie were isolated events and he wants to assure residents that they are still safe living there.

Family and friends of Debruce and Key say they are still in shock and angry, but they are trying to stay positive and remember them as the great men that they were.
