Civic Center plays host to 2013 "Soul Fest" music festival.

ALBANY, GA -- Albany's second annual, "Soul Fest" has made its way to the Civic Center downtown bringing in record setting numbers.
The event locked down acts such as Maze, Frankie Beverly, the Manhattans, Sir Charles Jones, Wilson Meadows and Juice to play, with show time at 7:00 PM sharp.
Event planners are predicting a capacity crowd hinting that over 6,000 people could be in attendance.
Gilbert Udoto, the man in charge of the event, says that although the event is built to bring culture into the community, it also serves a more lucrative purpose.
"The hotels are filling up, some have sold out. The restaurants are filling up, people are going to the mall, but that's because people are coming from everywhere! We sold over 1,000 tickets just online," said Udoto.
Tickets range from $39.00 dollars, to $59.00 dollars and are still available for purchase at the Civic Center box office.
