ALBANY, GA --
According to a press release issued by the Flint Riverquarium, the Flint RiverQuarium Board of Directors has voted to eliminate CEO Sanders Lewallen.

The board voted Monday evening to implement a reduction in force as a cost saving measure, costing Lewallen his position, effective immediately.

Flint Riverquarium Board Chairman Emily Jean McAfee stressed that the decision was strictly a business one.

“Sanders joined the RiverQuarium at a very challenging time. We greatly value the talent and dedication he has shown to the organization, but regrettably the budget situation forced us to make this extremely tough decision. We wish Sanders only the best and know that with his experience and expertise he has a very bright future ahead.”
