ALBANY, GA --
2012 turned out to be a good here for the folks over at Chehaw, as they were able to add a few big attractions.

After two years of anticipation they cut the ribbon on their African Veldt exhibit.

They put up a new bat house named, Casa de Luna, and held their first "Thru the Zoo 5K Race". Chehaw isn’t slowing down in 2013, and they're already working on upgrades.

"Completely redoing the flamingo exhibit, it will be a completely different look, a lot larger as well," said Ben Kirkland the Natural Resource Manager.

Chehaw will also be continuing with many of its festivals including the American Frontier Festival, which will be held next weekend.
