Tifton shooting leaves one man in the hospital

TIFTON, GA --
A late night shooting in Tifton has left on person in the hospital.

Officers with the Tifton Police Department say that 20-year-old Kevin Dumas was shot in the lower stomach at a residence on South Central Avenue shortly before midnight Thursday.

Tift County EMS was called to the scene and transported Dumas to the hospital. He was then transferred to a hospital near Macon. Dumas' status is currently unknown but officials say he was conscious and alert when they responded to the scene.

No arrests have been made but officials say the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about this case, contact the Criminal Investigations Unit at 229-382-3132.
