ALBANY, GA. --

A community group is protesting a decision to close two Albany libraries.

Representatives and supporters for the People Clergy Community Involvement group gathered in front of the Albany Government Center on Thursday afternoon.

Southside and Westtown public libraries are scheduled to be closed by June 30th.

The president of the PCCI says since the decision came down so swiftly, he believes there was a hidden agenda besides budget issues.

He says those branches are needed because many families in those communities don't have internet access in their homes.
