The Georgia Department of Labor offers online help

ATLANTA, GA -- The Georgia Department of Labor is hosting an online job search chat Wednesday May 30, 2012.  Below is the official press release with all relevant information.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will host another “Ask Ted” (Type, Explore, Discover) online chat Wednesday, May 30. The chat will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the GDOL website www.dol.state.ga.us

Entitled “Online Job Search,” the 90-minute chat will focus on job seekers needing advice, tips, and techniques on conducting an effective online job search. A panel of experts will be available to discuss the use of the electronic media to enhance an applicant’s job search. Discussion will center on the dos and don’ts of completing an online job application and information on how to implement an effective online-job search. 

People may ask questions during the live chat or email questions in advance to askted@gdol.ga.gov. They may also do so on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GeorgiaDOL or Twitter at @GeorgiaDOL. To sign up for a reminder, or join the chat, go to the GDOL website at www.dol.state.ga.us.
