ALBANY, GA. --
A congressional candidate has set up shop in Dougherty County.

John House is running to become the next congressional representative for Georgia’s 2nd district, a seat currently held by Congressman Sanford Bishop.

Thursday, the politician and his camp held an open house at their new headquarters on West Broad Avenue.

House says the event gave him an opportunity to mingle with local residents and possibly gain support.

“I want them to know my focus is to try to bring jobs to the entire second district because I think if we can try and create an environment where businesses can succeed then that will solve a lot of the problems that we all have,” says Congressional Candidate John House.

He says his headquarters welcomes the public to come in and ask questions about his campaign.
