ALBANY, GA. -- Albany police investigators are looking into a hit and run that happened early Sunday morning.

Demonica Blakely, 19, was walking from Club Xscape when a dark colored car drove past her with an unknown person inside yelling obscenities out the window.

Blakely says the car then turned around and struck her.

This happened in the 400 block of S. McKinley St. in downtown Albany.

The victim was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she called police.

The case is being labeled as an aggravated assault and the investigation is still ongoing.

Police are also looking to locate an armed robber.

Jeanette Jackson, 30, and Christopher Walters, 31, they were walking in the 2400 block of Brierwood Dr. when a black man attempted to attack Walters with a chrome revolver handgun.

When the man escaped for help, the suspect then demanded money from Jackson.

Once the woman told the robber that she didn't have any cash, he ran off with her jacket.

Police are still investigating this case.
