ALBANY, GA. -- A group of bikers helped boost the Toys-for-Tots supply in the Marine Corps and Salvation Army's final push before distribution next Saturday.

Over 300 bikers from the Remaining Few Motorcycle Club participated in the 28th Annual Remaining Few Motorcycle Bike Run fundraiser. Marine Corps representatives saw the turnout as a success.

“When you see a turnout like this, especially with the cold weather, it’s moving,” said Private First Class Micah Matthews.

Because of contributions from club members many children will have gifts for Christmas.

The group of riders brought everything from Teddy bears, to trucks, to canned foods.

While food is collected for the pantry, officials want to first make sure Christmas needs are met. The Toys-for-Tots program is behind on donations for children ranging from ages 10 to 12.

“We have a lot of toys for the younger age groups. We don't have them for the older children,” said Salvation Army Captain Doug McClure.

Officials say it’s not too late to donate to the Toys-for-Tots program. All donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army shelter located at 304 West 2nd Avenue.
