ALBANY, GA -- Runners will lace up their sneakers and hit the pavement Saturday for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s 11th annual Jingle Bell Jog.

 Corey Fitzgerald

When 9-year-old Corey Fitzgerald learned all proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network he emptied his piggy bank and set a goal to raise 5-thousand dollars.  He’s far from his goal but determined to reach it.

Corey created a team, Jingle Bell Jog Team Road Runners 2011 and set up a Facebook page to help him collect donations.

“They can donate online, straight from that link or they can have checks made out to phoebe foundation jingle bell jog you can take the checks up to the phoebe foundation, you can turn them in, tell them it’s for Corey Fitzgerald, call me ill come pick up the check,” said Kellie Johns, Corey’s Mother.

The Jog is either a 5-K or 10K run or one mile fun walk. Corey is running the 5k.
