Young professionals celebrate 2011 successes
Emerge Albany, a diverse group of young professionals in Albany celebrated a year of successful events at their end of the year meeting.
Caitlyn Cooper has been the chairwoman for the past two years and says the group’s success is a bright spot for Albany. “2011 was a successful year for Emerge Albany. From community service
projects to networking opportunities, young professionals in Albany didn’t miss a
chance to gather for a common goal: To see this community succeed” says Cooper.
In 2011 Emerge Albany’s main initiative was “Emerge Albany Gives Back,” a year-long community service effort that assisted numerous agencies through volunteering. Organizations Emerge Albany works with includes the Flint Riverquarium, Albany Heart Walk, Second Harvest Food Bank, and more.
