ALBANY, GA -- Two of the three mayoral candidates faced off at Tuesday’s Rotary Club meeting.

Fielding questions from club members about the economy, jobs and education, former city commissioner Dorothy Hubbard says she's the most qualified for the job, meanwhile business owner B.J. Fletcher says she can create jobs.

“I will have a platform that will include all the people in the city as well as the experts, that we will work on crime, economic development and jobs, and education,” says Hubbard.

“Time is ticking, we are in a decline and we've got to create jobs, please, that is the most important thing that they have to know. You've got to get someone that can get in here and create industry and tourism,” says Fletcher.

Former Senator John White was not present.

Elections are November 8.
