Corrected: Change of date of oral arguments

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Kiwanis Club heard an update on Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Wednesday.

In his presentation, President and CEO Joel Wernick talked about the hospital's local and regional growth.

“One area though that's really growing a great deal is our specialty physician area. And now phoebe physicians are actually staffing other hospitals in the region, providing unique services like our hospitalist program,” says Wernick.

Wernick also addressed their purchase of Palmyra Medical Centers, saying oral arguments about the purchase should wrap up by October.
