ALBANY, GA -- It seemed like all of Albany was at Saturday’s parade.

Thousands of people lined on Pine Street, to show their Golden Ram pride.

“It’s a big deal. This is what everybody waits for in Albany,” said ASU alumna Haley Miller.

“It’s so exciting, it's just unexplainable, it's terrific,” said Geraldine Hightower.

People who came out today were treated to free entertainment; bands, dancers, and floats.

And for some it' wasn't their first rodeo.

“I graduated in 1960, so this is my 50th year,” said Josephine Fredrick.

But the attraction that everybody wanted was the ASU Marching Rams Show Band, and they didn't disappoint.

Afterward they weren't afraid to toot their own horn.

“We did pretty good. We still have a lot of potential. I don't ever look at the lowest we've got to strive for the highest,” said trumpeter Robert Sibley.

The streets weren’t the only place that was crowded today, at the Subway sandwich shop just down the street from the parade they had a big influx of customers as the parade was getting started.

“We had an extremely busy breakfast. Normally our Saturday breakfasts are kind of slow because the building aren't open behind us, but today it was a little busier than normal. We ran out of a few things,” said Subway owner Delyn Smith.
