ALBANY, GA -- 30 Emergency Center Technicians received their certification during a graduation ceremony at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Monday.

The six week program consisted of four hours of class per week and allows nurses' assistants to better assist doctors at the hospital.

Program Creator Cynthia Chaney says she and the students wanted to make a program to better educate those on what they're doing to help the doctors.

Chaney says now instead of getting blood pressure readings and writing them down, those who are certified know exactly what they mean which allows them to better help the patients.
