ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler is doing his part in educating his future predecessors.

Fowler currently has four interns from Albany State he works with, but he also invites students to come out and job shadow him.

Georgia Southwestern Freshman Brianna Milliner spent Friday with the coroner and hopes to one day fill his shoes.

"A lot of people, they look at this kind of stuff on TV  and think oh, that's what I want to do, but to actually see it might make some people change their mind, but I haven’t changed mine it just makes me more excited," said Milliner.

Fowler said he feels it's important to pass along his knowledge as a way of influencing and empowering the youth.
