Paul McCartney is coming to Atlanta to do a summer concert to benefit the The Piedmont Conservancy.

The August 15 concert by the 67-year-old ex-Beatle was announced Wednesday at a Live Nation news conference held at the park's Magnolia Hall.  Piedmont Conservancy president and CEO Yvette Bowden said that she couldn't be happier with the announcement and the McCartney show will be a wonderful birthday present for their 20th anniversary celebration.

The show is expected to dwarf the conservancy's 2007 Dave Matthews Band and The Allman Brothers Band show that attracted
50,000.
