(AP) -- A parade, live music, a 5K race and the World's Largest Peach Cobbler will be included in the Georgia Peach Festival beginning this weekend in - where else - Peach County.

Opening ceremonies will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Peach Shops of Byron, followed by a free concert and a fireworks show.  Downtown streets in Fort Valley will be closed to traffic for a "painting of the peaches" beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday.  The annual 5K race begins at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at First Baptist Church of Fort Valley.

At 2 p.m. that day, the bubbling concoction of 75 gallons of fresh peaches, hundreds of pounds of flour, sugar and butter, and 32 gallons of milk will be ready to serve at the Peach County Courthouse.
