Two candidates square off in Tuesday’s election for the Ward 3 seat on the City Commission.
T'was the day before elections and all through the voter registration office, not a caller was calling, not even for advice, keeping with the track record of early voting, which lasted three weeks, but only saw fewer than 50 voters. Pretty slim turnout, considering Ward 3 has over 5,700 registered voters. One thing they want folks to remember is, by law, there will be no voting going on at the Government Center. However, if you do show up, they'll be able to direct you to your precinct.
Only six precincts will be open Tuesday: Precinct 3--the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Precinct 6--Merry Acres Middle School, Precinct 14--Carver pool, Precinct 15--Carver gym, Precinct 17 Saints in Christ Church, and precinct 18--the Phoebe Educational Building.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
