October is Head Start Awareness month, and the Tift Center concluded its celebration with a parade in Albany today.

Nearly 160 kids, parents, and instructors participated in a three-block parade around Tift Avenue.  Head Start is a federally funded program which serves 14 counties and 2300 kids in Southwest Georgia.  It helps educated those children and their parents about living healthy lifestyles, including eating healthy.

The Head Start program has been around since 1965
