The Lee County Board of Education sponsored a bus tour today for community members to learn more about their educational system
Fifteen people including parents, realtors, and city commissioners visited four Lee County Schools to learn about the growth and challenges the schools’ face.
Lee County Superintendent Dr. Lawrence Walters says the tour helps engage the community. “We want people to know what’s going on in their schools and see the teachers and students in action. They can see where their tax dollars are going” says Walters.
The Lee County Board of Education plans to host another school bus tour in late February of next year.
