Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Joins Team at The Veranda

(ALBANY, Ga.) – Patients of Children’s Medical Associates at The Veranda now have an even stronger team of medical professionals caring for them. Albany native and pediatric nurse practitioner Brandy Dew is now seeing patient’s alongside A. David Wahbeh, M.D.“Having Brandy as a part of our practice means adding her unique expertise and perspective to our team in caring for the children of our community,” said Wahbeh. “A great example of this is her talent as a lactation counselor for breastfeeding mothers.”Dew began her work in pediatric medicine at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston where she worked in neonatal care. She and her husband moved back to her hometown in 2002, where she continued to provide care to infants, children and teenagers. Dew received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia and her Master's in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Emory University. Certified by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Dew is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing honor society. ABOUT THE VERANDA
