Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” McBride died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at her residence.
Her funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with internment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tony Haefs will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6 to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Dale McBride, 188 Longleaf Dr.
A native of Ware County Mrs. McBride had lived in Albany since 1948. She was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a 1945 graduate of Macon Hospital Nursing School and was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Diane Hardee and husband Merv, Leesburg; sons, Don McBride and his wife Pam, Albany, Dave McBride and his wife Deborah, Ponte Vedra, FL, Dale McBride and his wife Joy, Leesburg; grandchildren, Allison Douglas and husband Stephen, Melissa Conyers and husband Josh, Stacey Parker and husband Trey, Laura McBride, Joel Hardee, Molly Wallis and husband TJ, Jennifer Queen and husband Nathan, Elizabeth McBride; sister, Jean Hagelstein and husband Richard; brother Charles Cherry and wife Betty, Dublin; and 6 great grandchildren.
