Betty Jean Mullikin (1925-2009)

On September 23, 2009 Mom saw the face of Jesus and is now in heaven. Betty Jean (BJ) Mullikin, 84, was a precious soul who was loved by all who knew her, died at her daughter Donna’s residence under the loving care of her family and hospice. A devoted mother and wife, known for hr generosity, kind heart, and Christian Spirit, had lived in Albany since May of this year. She had been a resident of Brooksville, FL for the past 22 years where she was a member of Mariner Methodist Church and a volunteer for Oak Hills Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest C. Mulliken in 2001.

Mrs. Mullikin is survived by her children: Suzan M. Rewis and her husband Hugh, Albany, GA, Debra Mullikin-Kilpatrick and her husband Dan, Shrewsbury, MA, John Charles Mullikin, Arlington, TX, Donna Mauldin and her husband Jeff, Albany, GA; her grandchildren: Tommy Rewis, Shane Rewis, Tianli Kilpatrick, Tyler Mullikin; her sisters: Loretta Snyder and her husband Bill, Greensboro, NC, Waunetta Hedrick and her husband Bruce, Ashboro, NC.

The family request that memorial donations be made to Albany Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1828, Albany, GA 31702.

A Going Home Celebration Service will be in Brooksville, FL on Saturday, September 26 at 1 PM at Mariner Methodist Church.
