At a young age, Kerri moved from Boston, Massachusetts to Hiram, Georgia where she completed all of her early education. After high school, Kerri attended Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin for a short time before she finished up her college career with a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from Western Connecticut State University, located in Danbury, Connecticut.

During her college years, Kerri interned at New England Cable News (NECN) and WHDH-TV (Channel 7) in Boston, Massachusetts. Kerri loves mostly any outdoor activity, especially soccer, storm chasing, fishing, hiking, and camping. She also enjoys teaching young students the science behind everyday weather, and hopes to continue to do so within this community.
