Andrew Schnitker Sports Director and Anchor
School: University of Texas at Austin
For some, trying to pronounce Andrew’s last name can lead to a headache, or maybe an unpleasant word or two. Advice: it’s best to think of it in connection with a certain candy bar. However, contrary to the numerous rumors, he is not related to anyone at the Mars Corporation. Andrew is a Dallas, TX native who recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, this journalism major interned in the sports departments of KEYE-TV in Austin and KTVT in Dallas. Although his roots are based in the Lone Star State, his passion for high school and college sports should coincide nicely with the beautiful people of Albany, Georgia. He is ready to replace hook ‘em horns with all things Albany sports and excited to spend every Friday night in the fall underneath the bright lights of Georgia high school football. If you see Andrew on the streets of Albany, don’t hesitate to throw any and all sports opinions his way.
